<p>A is for Availability. when struck with a P, and you want to keep A, you will have to give up C until the problem is fixed. One of the solutions is agreeing to have <em>eventual</em> consistency.</p>
<p>C is for Consistency. If you are a stuck-up stickler for details and must a consistent DB, expect to get only <em>eventual</em> availability. No, that&#8217;s not a thing. you&#8217;ll learn.</p>
